Arlene McIntyre Design Studio undertook the full interior architecture and interior design for the project, contributing to the spatial planning and leading the scheme from concept through to detailed specification. The brief was to create a sophisticated, timeless interior, carefully tailored to both the location and the clients’ lifestyle.
Extending to approximately 9,500 square feet, the home includes a private home cinema at basement level, a gym, a bespoke cellar bar, and a series of generously proportioned living spaces designed to flow effortlessly from one to the next. A classic architectural backdrop runs throughout, with coffered ceilings, elegant coving, detailed skirting, and dark oak doors adding depth and maturity to the interiors. Classic and contemporary elements are carefully balanced to ensure the home feels enduring yet relaxed.
The entrance hall establishes a strong sense of arrival, combining warmth with architectural presence. A curved staircase, framed marble flooring, layered wall panelling, and statement lighting set the tone for the rest of the home.
The informal family wing centres around a sleek kitchen with double island dining and expansive coastal views, supported by generous living and social spaces incorporating custom-designed, back-lit joinery. The master suite offers a private retreat, complete with separate his and hers dressing rooms and marble ensuites, alongside floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Jersey countryside.
