We are proud to be the interior architecture and design partner to this magnificent Victorian home with beautiful surrounding gardens, located in the prestigious area of Rathgar, South Dublin. Extending to approximately 5,000 square feet, the project involves the complete refurbishment of the property to a high end prime specification while carefully respecting and restoring the architectural character of the original home.
The house retains many of the defining qualities of the Victorian period including generous ceiling heights, elegant proportions and strong architectural detailing throughout the principal rooms. These elements form the foundation of the design approach, allowing the refurbishment to celebrate the heritage of the building while introducing a refined contemporary interior suited to modern family living.
Retaining and celebrating the protected period features of the property is central to the design approach. These architectural elements will play an important role in shaping how the project evolves and will inform the overall interior architecture and design language throughout the home.
